BISHOP’S DAY 2010: Creating New Places For New Faces
Save the date of Saturday, March 13, 2010 for Bishop’s Day for Evangelism.  This is the 3rd Bishop’s Day in the past 4 years and will be the first major event held at the new Cornerstone UMC in Caledonia.  This Bishop’s Day will be a little different in that the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo Districts will hold the event together.  It will also focus solely on evangelism.
Bishop’s Day is for clergy and laity alike, and there will be a youth component as well.  You won’t want to miss our featured speaker, Scott Rigsby, who is a world class athlete with a testimony to share.  On October 13, 2007, after enduring the elements for 16 hours and 43 minutes, Scott Rigsby became the first double-amputee in the world to finish an Ironman distance triathlon with prosthetics at the 140.6-mile World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.  Rigsby's unique story of success, failure and faith, all started with a decision and the desire to never quit, no matter what, no matter how long.  Check out Scott’s story at: http://www.scottrigsby.com/scottrigsbystory.html.
