The senior choir of UMCH has been given the opportunity to perform with the soloist Carolyn L. Quinn. Born in Mississippi and raised in Saginaw, Carolyn has established herself as a strong musical voice in Grand Rapids. In addition to releasing her first CD, “Grateful,” Carolyn is the Assistant Manger of Music and the Youth Choir Director at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church.

The children of UMCH are excited to display the art they have created while working with Melissa R. Selmon. Melissa was born and raised in Grand Rapids, receiving her B.A. in Art and Design from Grand Valley State University. Her work is a journey of emotions with her inspiration many times coming from photographs of children. Melissa’s artwork has been featured in the Grand Rapids Times, and presented in numerous exhibitions in the Grand Rapids region.
