Friends and colleagues in ministry, On Friday, September 18th I will be having a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids. This third breast cancer surgery is warranted due to the results of the pathology report after the second surgery when more cancer was found. The reconstruction will be done with implants which should conserve on recovery time and on follow-up plastic surgeries. For this I am grateful. Your prayers for me and my family are appreciated. Your prayers for my congregation are also appreciated as they carry on with providing Sunday worship and as they wade through our annual Church Conference "on their own".
